South African Stock Exchange Trading Hours

February 18th, 2011

It has been widely known that the South African stock exchange trading hours is the shortest trading hours among much stock exchange trade in the world. This is what makes the leader for a big company or even individual who wants to invest their money in the stock exchange is reluctant to make an investment using the South African stock exchange due to the short time of trading hours.  People have been begging the stock exchange market in the South Africa to at least prolong its trading hours.

Finally the begging of these people is heard by the Interim Director General of the South African stock exchange, Mr. Emmanuel Ikazoboh. He said that in order to make people attracted to bid some investment and in encourage people to make a deal in the stock exchange, there will be some additional hours in the South African stock exchange trading hours. He also added that the exchange is also going to loosen the limitations on the share price movement by the following three weeks in the stock exchange.

The lightening of the South African stock exchange trading hours and also doubling the limitation on the daily share price within the stock exchange are going to be done in order to boost the volumes of trading in the South African stock exchange which has been decreased lately.

The South African stock exchange trading hours will be expanded by two or three hours of active trading to maintain a bigger trading. The previous trading hours was only three hours started from 9.300 and then closed at the 12.30 everyday.
